Web Design

We start with an initial meeting to discuss the goals you want to achieve with your web site design or redesign. Who is your audience? How do you define if the web site is a success? We go from there.

Sure, it’s a marketing-centric approach, but if you’re aim is to build a site that not only looks good, but works for you and your business or organization, you have to take that approach. There are a lot of options for building your web presence, some of them easier, some of them cheaper, but if your goal is a solid site that is designed for growth; give us a shout.

Take a look at a few of our projects:

Just Build it… and they will Just Ignore it.

Your web site is built, the visitors are finding you in the search engines, what next? One of the most overlooked aspects of designing a web site is how the site will be maintained. Static content on a web site was fine in 1997, but these days you need to keep the visitors coming back with fresh content: photos, articles, blogs, video, you name it, and it should be on your site, building traffic.

We offer a number of options for our clients when it comes to site maintenance:

Plan Ahead

One of the first questions we ask new clients when planning their site is “how will the site be updated?” It’s an important question that informs how the site should be built. If you plan on updating the site yourself, great, but perhaps an overly complex PHP site might not be the best way to go. Plan ahead, it always pays off in the end.

The Hourly Approach

The traditional update-as-you-see-fit approach. This is a great option for sites with a few updates a month. all work is billed at our normal hourly rates.

The Retainer Approach

Like other work-on-retainer agreements, we offer a discounted hourly rate for updates & changes with an annual maintenance contract.

The Tuneup Approach

We toyed with the idea of explaining this as the Dental Checkup Appointment approach, but someone pointed out that there are not many people that would relate well to dental appointments and website updates, so we came up with a warmer sounding name for it.

The idea is simple:

  • Problem: You’re busy running your business, the last thing you have time for during the day is updating your website, so it falls by the side until you call someone frantically in June to take down your Happy Holidays message. This will not do.
  • Solution: Schedule a time and place with us (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc.) Perhaps you’d just like to set a monthly appointment to update your site, do a quick video, load up a few pictures, tie-in the new Facebook page… whatever: then this is for you. Set up an appointment with us to sit down and get the updates done. Need to schedule it on a weekend, after “normal” business hours? No problem, we’re small business owners ourselves, we know what that’s like. Can’t come into our studio for the appointment, let us know and we can arrange to either come to you, or meet somewhere with a Wifi connection, and we’ll get your site updated.
